SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) -- Josh Naylor scored 11 points as Texas State held on to beat Louisiana-Monroe 54-52 on Wednesday night.
Anthony Dill blocked DeAndre Alexander's potential game-tying layup as time expired, preserving the victory for Texas State (12-11, 6-6 Southland Conference). Roderick Adams hit the go-ahead free throws with just over a minute remaining.
Markee White added 11 points for the Bobcats.
Daryl Mason and Roshon Jacobs both scored 12 points for Louisiana-Monroe (7-15, 1-10), which fell short of winning just its second road game this season.
Louisiana-Monroe has lost 11 of its last 12 games.
