STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -- Bobby Santiago scored 16 points, including four free throws in the final 15 seconds, and Stony Brook halted Binghamton's five-game winning streak with a 57-55 victory on Saturday.
Cori Spencer followed with 13 points for the Seawolves (10-15, 5-11 America East), while Mike Popoko added 12.
Troy Hailey scored 17 points for the Bearcats (10-15, 7-9), while Andre Heard had 16.
Santiago's layup gave Stony Brook a 33-21 lead, its largest of the game, with 13:59 to play. Binghamton, behind Heard's seven points, went on a 12-3 run to get to 37-36 with 10:32 left.
Spencer's three-point play then closed out a 12-5 comeback that put the Seawolves in front 49-41 with 4:35 to play.
Binghamton then used a 9-1 rally, capped by Hailey's 3-pointer, to tied it at 50 with 1:05 to play.
Antwan Hardy's layup put Stony Brook ahead for good, 52-50, with 50 seconds left. The last of Santiago's four free throws made it 56-52 with 9.7 seconds left.
Popoko made one free throw to make it 57-52 with 3.4 seconds to go and Hailey hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.
