TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Jonathan Kelly scored 17 points, including a dunk that gave Florida A&M its final lead, as the Rattlers beat Coppin State 62-58 on Saturday.
Kelly's dunk gave Florida A&M (10-13, 7-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) a 56-54 lead with 1:39 left, after Coppin State had come back from a 13-point deficit.
The Rattlers led 51-38 midway through the second half, but the Eagles rallied because of a series of Florida A&M turnovers. Coppin State (11-13, 11-4) got its first lead, 54-53, since early in the first half on Henry Colter's 15-footer with 3:05 left.
The Eagles scored 22 points off of 18 Florida A&M turnovers.
Nicholas King scored 20 points, Darryl Procter had 12 and Darryl Roberts added 10, but the Eagles shot just 31.7 percent from the field.
Kelly was the only Rattlers shooter in double figures. He scored 11 first-half points, including nine of Florida A&M's first 12.
Florida A&M led by as many as 11 in the first half and had a 34-25 lead at halftime.
