BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -- Joseph Frazier scored 18 points and Ian Boylan made the basket as Cal State Northridge beat Fairfield 68-65 Saturday.
Boylan, who previously made just one field goal, hit a 15-foot jumper with 24 seconds to play to give Northridge (15-10) a 66-65 lead.
Fairfield (12-13) committed a turnover on its next possession and Frazier sank two free throws.
A last-second 3-pointer by Michael Bell hit the front rim.
Boylan scored 11, as did Calvin Chitwood, Davin White and Jonathan Heard for the Matadors.
Fairfield was led by DeWitt Maxwell's 13 points. Terrence Todd, Kudjo Sogadzi and Deng Gai scored 12 apiece.
The Stags led 36-26 at halftime and 48-38 with 13:28 to play after a Bell 3-pointer. But the Matadors went on a 20-5 run to take a 58-53 lead.
Fairfield re-claimed the lead, 65-64, on a pair of Sogadzi foul shots with 41 seconds left, but Boylan provided the game-winner.
