EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Blake Schilb had 25 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead Loyola to a 68-64 victory over Evansville in non-conference play Saturday night.
Loyola (10-16) won their third straight on the road in their first meeting with Evansville in 11 years.
The Purple Aces (11-13) led throughout the first half, but Majak Kou hit one of his four 3-pointers for the game late in the half to kick off a Loyola comeback.
Down 28-24 at the break, Loyola took their first lead of the game 34-33 with a fastbreak dunk by Tyrel Blair. The rest of the half was close throughout, with five ties and seven lead changes, but the Ramblers outshot the Purple Aces 53.6 percent to 41.9 percent for the half.
Loyola eventually took the lead for good 54-52 with 6:39 remaining.
Evansville was led by Matt Webster, who was 8-of-13 from the field and ended the night with 20 points. Eric Ottens had 11 points and Lucious Wagner had 10 points and six assists for the Purple Aces.
