BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) -- Will Emerson scored 28 points, Jacob Skogen added 23 and Mercer used a 25-2 run late in the first half to beat Florida Atlantic 107-88 on Saturday.
Wesley Duke also had 21 points for the Bears (14-11, 9-9 Atlantic Sun Conference), who snapped a three-game losing streak and avenged an earlier triple-overtime loss to the Owls.
Rodney Webb's 3-pointer with 7:04 left in the half gave Florida Atlantic (9-16, 9-9) a 36-31 lead, but the Owls had four missed shots and six turnovers on their next 10 possessions. Mercer took advantage of that, making 11 of its next 12 shots from the floor.
Skogen had 11 points and Emerson and Duke combined for 10 more in the run that gave Mercer a 56-38 lead with 1:49 left before halftime.
In the second half, the Owls got as close as 69-63 with 12:26 left before the Bears pulled away. Mercer shot better than 57 percent from the field _ 65 percent in the first half _ and the Bears hit 10-of-20 3-pointers.
Kahleaf Watson led Florida Atlantic with a career-high 21 points while Mike Bell added 16 points and 11 rebounds.
