DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Antonio Webb's 3-pointer at the buzzer gave Bethune-Cookman a 73-71 win over Morgan State on Saturday.
Morgan State, which trailed by 15 points early in the second half and was down 67-55 with 3:32 left, clawed all the way back to lead _ but couldn't hold on.
Sam Brand _ who led all scorers with 27 points _ made a 3-pointer with 7.7 seconds to cap an 8-0 run and put the Bears ahead 73-71, but Webb drove downcourt, pulled up and hit the gamewinner.
Cleveland Williams had 18 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for Bethune-Cookman (12-12, 8-6 Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference). Diondre Larmond and Nicholas Berry each scored 14 points and Webb added 11.
Ronald Timus had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Aaron Andrews scored 13 points for Morgan State (11-14, 9-6).
Bethune-Cookman won despite missing 15 of its 20 attempts from the foul line.
