ELON, N.C. (AP) -- Chris Chalko scored 17 points to lead three players in double-digit scoring and lift Elon past Appalachian St. 58-55 on Saturday.
Chalko made 5-of-9 from 3-point range for the Phoenix (7-22, 5-11 Southern Conference). Scottie Rice added 13 points and Le'Vonn Jordan posted 10.
Noah Brown scored 13 points to lead two players in double-digit scoring for the Mountaineers (16-11, 9-7). Demetrius Scott scored 11 of the Mountaineers' 18 points off the bench on 5-of-5 shooting.
Clint Deas added 10 rebounds and 9 points for the Mountaineers.
