ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Shawn Wiggins scored 15 points and Clary Judge added 13 to lead South Carolina State to a 70-57 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (16-11, 9-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) shot 47.8 percent (22-of-46) from the field. Brian Mason added 12 points and Thurman Zimmerman grabbed 12 rebounds.
Diondre Larmond led Bethune-Cookman (12-14, 8-8) with 22 points and eight rebounds and Michael Williams added 11 points.
The Bulldogs outscored Bethune-Cookman 12-2 in the final three minutes of the first half to go ahead 40-28. South Carolina State increased the lead to 18 after Judge's 3-pointer with 15:43 remaining.
Bethune-Cookman cut the lead to seven with 3:29 left but the Bulldogs again went on a run to seal the win.
