BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) -- Gary Johnson scored 14 points Saturday, including 4-of-4 from 3-point range, to lead the University of Central Florida to a 63-52 win over Campbell.
The Camels became the only Division I team to go winless in its conference this season.
Johnson also had nine assists and five steals on a perfect shooting night for the Golden Knights (21-8, 13-7), who clinched at least a share of the Atlantic Sun Conference men's basketball regular season championship.
Joshua Peppers added 10 points for UCF.
Ruell Pringle, the A-Sun's leading freshman scorer, led Campbell (2-25, 0-20) with a game-high 22 points. Maurice Latham added 11 points, while Comerlee Poole posted 10 and nine rebounds.
UCF led 32-20 at the break, then scored the first seven points of the second half and built the lead to as many as 19.
Campbell scored 12 unanswered points _ 10 from Pringle _ to pull within 48-42 with 5:51 to go.
But Anthony Williams scored underneath off Peppers' feed on the following possession, then Campbell turned the ball over and Peppers canned two foul shots to build the lead back to double figures. The Camels were unable to get closer than seven after that.
Campbell is the second A-Sun school to go winless; Florida Atlantic went 0-18 in 1999-2000.
UCF will attempt to defend its Atlantic Sun Conference tournament championship beginning with Thursday's quarterfinal round in Nashville, Tenn.
