PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Bashir Mason scored a career-high 22 points while Sean Brooks had 20 points and 13 rebounds to help Drexel to an 86-80 victory over Delaware on Saturday.
Phil Goss had 15 points, including 10-of-11 free throws, for Drexel (16-10, 11-6 Colonial Athletic Association), which hit a school-record 44-of-58 free throw attempts. Brooks made 14-of-21 free throws and Jeremiah King was 9-for-10 for his only points.
Andrew Washington scored a career-high 32 points, including 18-of-21 free throws, and also snagged eight rebounds to lead Delaware (10-19, 7-11), which led 40-39 at the half. Harding Nana added 13 points for the Blue Hens.
The two teams combined to hit 71-of-93 free throw attempts.
Drexel trailed for most of the game and was down 52-50 with just under 13 minutes remaining when Brooks hit two free throws to tie the game 52-52. Mason's 3-pointer then sparked a 13-2 run that gave the Dragons the lead for good.
Delaware, aided by a technical foul on Drexel for having six men on the court, made a late run and got within three points after a pair of Washington free throws, but Kenell Sanchez made three of four free throws in the last 15 seconds to preserve the win.
