BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -- Branden Miller scored 24 points and his backcourt mate Ja'Ron Jefferson had 22 points as Montana State beat Eastern Washington 85-61 Saturday night in the regular-season finale for both teams.
Miller hit 8-of-13 shots from the field, including five 3-pointers. Jefferson, who was a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line, connected on 4-of-6 shots from the field.
Montana State (14-13, 9-5 Big Sky) led 39-32 at the half and outscored the Eagles (8-19, 5-9) 12-3 to start the second half, taking a 51-34 lead on a 15-foot jumper by Nick Dissly with 11:28 remaining.
Marc Axton, who had 16 points in the first half for the Eagles, finished with 27 points, including six 3-pointers.
The Bobcats led 57-39 on Miller's 3-pointer at the 9:54 mark.
EWU got no closer than 17 points the rest of the way, following Axton's 3-pointer with 6:30 left to cut the lead to 67-50.
Dissly, who hit 3-of-5 3-point shots, finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Marvin Moss had 10 points for Montana State, while Matt Nelson scored 10 for the Eagles.
