BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) -- Simon Conn scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and was one of three Gardner-Webb players to score a double-double as the Bulldogs downed Florida Atlantic 91-76 Saturday in an Atlantic Sun Conference game.
Mike Bell led Florida Atlantic (10-17, 10-10) with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
The victory clinched the top seed for the Bulldogs (16-11, 13-7) in the A-Sun Tournament.
Gardner-Webb led 38-33 at the half and never trailed in the second half, leading by as many as 14 points. The Bulldogs scored 16 of their final 18 points from the free throw line, and the Owls got no closer than 75-69 with 2:37 to play.
Brian Bender had 16 points and 11 rebounds, T.J. McCullough had 14 points and 13 assists and Chris had 12 points for Gardner-Webb.
Quinton Young finished with 17, Rodney Webb had 13 and Robert Williams had 10 points for Florida Atlantic.
