HAMPTON, Va. (AP) -- Devin Green had 19 points and 12 rebounds as Hampton extended its winning streak to five with a win over Howard 59-49 Saturday night.
The Pirates (14-11, 12-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took advantage of 15 Howard (5-20, 2-14) turnovers for 18 points. They led the entire game.
Neither team could get it going on offense, both shooting less than 39 percent on the night. Hampton was 5-for-23 from behind the arc.
Bruce Brown had 12 rebounds for the Pirates, and Rashad West came off the bench to score 10.
Darryl Hudson had 15 points and 12 rebounds for Howard, and Sidney Nickleson added 10.
