CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) -- Chaz McCrommon scored 23 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Robert Morris to a 77-74 victory over Sacred Heart Saturday night.
With the Colonials trailing 68-64, McCrommon scored eight consecutive points over the next 2½ minutes to give the Colonials (13-14, 10-7 Northeast Conference) a 72-68 advantage.
The Pioneers (4-22, 3-14) used an early 15-0 run to take a 19-7 lead, but the Colonials answered with a 19-5 run of their own. There were 11 lead changes and 11 ties in the contest.
McCrommon, a senior on Senior Night at the Sewell Center, went 11-for-11 from the free throw line. Fellow senior Maurice Carter had 12 points, as did freshman Beau Gibb. Robert Morris converted 22-of-24 free throws.
Kibwe Trim had 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the Pioneers, while Joey Henley and Drew Shubik each added 12 and Mike Parker 11 points and seven assists.
