BALTIMORE (AP) -- Nicholas King and Darryl Proctor each scored 19 points to lead Coppin State over the University of Maryland Eastern Shore 100-53 Saturday.
West Otis had 18 points, five rebounds and five steals, and Darryl Roberts had 13 points and four steals for Coppin State (13-13, 13-4 MEAC).
UMES (2-24, 1-16) was led by Corey Brown, who had 12 points and a steal. Tim Parham had nine points and eight rebounds, while Louis Brookins had eight points and three blocks for UMES.
Coppin State shot 53 percent from the field for the game, hitting 38-for-72, while UMES only managed 37 percent, at 19-for-51. UMES also had 31 turnovers, as compared to Coppin State's 15.
Coppin State shot 68 percent from the free throw line, hitting 21-of-31; UMES went 9-18 from the line.
