EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Matt Haryasz hit a jump shot with 14 seconds left and Oregon missed on three attempts in the final seconds as the Cardinal held on for a 58-56 victory Saturday.

Haryasz finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Chris Hernandez scored 16 and Nick Robinson had 11 for Stanford (16-10, 10-6 Pac-10), which beat the Ducks for the fifth straight game and 17th time in 19 games.

There were nine lead changes or ties in the second half, starting when Oregon pulled even at 31-31 three minutes out of halftime on a jumper by Malik Hairston.

Aaron Brooks followed with a pair of free throws to put the Ducks up 33-31 for their first lead of the game.

Oregon (13-12, 5-11) led by as many as eight points on few different occasions in the second half, the last coming off a layup by Hairston for a 46-38 lead at 12:01.

Stanford outscored the Ducks 20-10 the rest of the way, finally catching Oregon for good when Jason Haas converted a pair of free throws at 1:11 to tie the game at 56-56.

Brooks was called for an offensive foul at the other end with 39 seconds to play, setting up the game-winner by Haryasz, who drove into the lane with the shot clock winding down and pulled up for short jumper.

On Oregon's final trip, Brooks was short on a 3-pointer and Hairston missed the tip in and then a 3-pointer as time expired.

Brooks finished with 14 points, while Hairston added 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Stanford got out to a 14-2 lead early in the game while Oregon struggled to find its shooting touch. The Ducks, who missed their first nine shots, didn't make a field goal until a layup by Hairston at the 12:21 mark.

Oregon picked at the Cardinal lead before finally tying the score 25-25 2:07 before halftime on a pair of free throws by Maarty Leunen, though Stanford eventually went back up to lead 29-27 at halftime.

Neither team shot well, with Stanford finishing at 35 percent and Oregon 34. The Ducks outrebounded the Cardinal 41-26, but Stanford had only 13 turnovers to Oregon's 18.
