ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) -- Drake Diener scored 14 points and Levar Seals added nine points and 13 rebounds Saturday as the DePaul Blue Demons topped the Saint Louis Billikens 53-49.
Marlon Brumfield scored 11 points with seven rebounds for the Blue Demons, who won their second consecutive to improve to 18-7.
Anthony Drejaj scored 13 points to lead the Billikens (7-20), who dropped their third straight contest.
Izik Ohanon had 10 points, and was the only other player from Saint Louis in double digits. DePaul shot 43 percent overall, compared to 34 percent for Saint Louis.
DePaul also had a 40-26 advantage on the glass. DePaul took advantage of the Billikens' poor shooting to take a 29-20 lead into halftime.
Saint Louis shot 32 percent from the floor in the first half and managed just 11 rebounds.
The Blue Demons shot 13-27 from the field, with Diener and Seals both 3 of 5 in the first. The Billikens twice cut the lead to two.
Drejaj hit a 3 and Ohanon followed with a basket in the paint to make it 42-40 with just under eight minutes left. Brumfield answered for DePaul, scoring five straight points. Reggie Bryant hit a 3 with 19.7 left to make it 51-49, but Diener was fouled on the ensuing possession and hit both free throws. Greer played 31 minutes, eclipsing 3,000 for his career.
