BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Demario Eddins scored 25 points and Donell Taylor added 17 to lead UAB to an 87-58 victory over Tulane Saturday night.
Eddins became the 16th player in UAB history to reach 1,000 career points.
Derrick Broom added 10 points for UAB (18-9, 8-6 CUSA), which won its second game in a row after losing four straight.
Quincy Davis scored 13 points and Marcus Kinzer added 10 for Tulane (9-16, 3-11). Tulane had won four of it's past five games with UAB, but the Green Wave could not keep up with the Blazers this time.
The game was close for much of the first half, but the Blazers pulled out to a 36-27 halftime lead and blew the game open early in the second half.
UAB started the second half with a 19-5 run to build a 55-32 lead. Tulane could get no closer than 20 points the rest of the way and the Blazers led by as many as 36 points down the stretch.
UAB's pressure defense forced 29 Tulane turnovers.
