KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) -- Levi Rost and Rickey Willis each scored 15 points in the final home game of their careers Wednesday night, leading Western Michigan to a 77-52 victory over Bowling Green.
The win clinched at least a share of the Mid-American Conference West championship for Western (18-10, 11-6), marking the first time the defending MAC champion Broncos have won two consecutive divisional titles.
Willis, whose 118 career games ties a school record, hit 5-of-10 shots and came within one point of tying his career high.
Stane's Bufford and Joe Reitz added 11 points for Western, which scored 13 of the game's first 15 points and never trailed. Brian Snider had a game-high seven assists. Reitz had seven rebounds, leading Western to a 41-31 advantage on the boards.
John Reimold, Steven Wright and Josh Almanson each scored nine points for Bowling Green (17-9, 10-7), which suffered its most lopsided loss of the season. Western held Reimold, the MAC's leading scorer, to nine points under his average. The Falcons made 40 percent of their shots and trailed by as many as 36 points.
If Western wins Saturday at Ball State, it would clinch one of the top three seeds in next week's MAC Tournament and receive a bye through the first round.
