MONROE, La. (AP) -- Alan Daniels scored 23 points, leading five players in double figures, and pulled down 10 rebounds as Lamar defeated Louisiana-Monroe 79-72 Wednesday night.
Raymond Anthony added 17 points, 11 of them from free throws, for the Cardinals (17-10, 9-7 Southland). Nashid Beard had 12 points before fouling out, Josh Goodwin added 11 and grabbed 10 rebounds and Jeremy Long finished with 10.
DeAndre Alexander led the Indians (7-19, 1-14) with 17 points and 20 rebounds before fouling out. RoShon Jacobs and Gary Robinson had 15 points apiece.
