NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) -- Kerwin Forges scored 14 points to lead Northwestern State to an 82-63 victory over Sam Houston State Wednesday night.
Tyronn Mitchell, Clifton Lee and Marcellas Ross each added 13 points for the Demons (18-11, 12-3 Southland).
The Demons never trailed in the game and led 43-29 at halftime, never allowing Sam Houston to get within 10 afterward. Northwestern State's lead was never less than 15 points in the final seven minutes.
Joe Thompson led the Bearkats (17-10, 11-4) with 20 points. Chris Jordan and Ryan Bright added 10 points apiece and Auguste Wilder pulled down 10 rebounds.
