ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Josh Naylor scored 20 points to lead Texas State past Texas-Arlington 66-62 on Wednesday night.
Anthony Dill added 17 points for Texas State (14-12, 8-7 Southland Conference), which won on the road for only the fourth time this season. Dill and Naylor were a combined 16-of-18 from the foul line.
Rodrick Epps, who scored 13 points, was the only player for Texas-Arlington (12-14, 6-9) in double figures.
The Mavericks' Steven Thomas, the Southland Conference's second-leading scorer and top rebounder, was held to just nine points and three rebounds.
Texas-Arlington has lost five of its last eight.
