CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Colin Wyatt scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Elon to a 64-58 win over Wofford on Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the Southern Conference Tournament.
No. 4 North seed Elon (8-22) will play Davidson, the league's only team to go unbeaten in the regular season and the No. 1 South seed, in the second round Thursday.
Eric Marshall hit a 3-pointer that pulled No. 5 South seed Wofford (14-14) within 61-58 with 17 seconds left, but Wyatt hit three free throws to seal the victory.
Scottie Rice scored 11 for Elon before fouling out.
Adrien Borders led Wofford with 15 points, and Marshall added 14.
Elon took a 35-24 lead when Chris Chalko hit a 3 on its first possession of the second half, but Rice quickly picked up his third foul and Wofford quickly narrowed the gap.
The Terriers came within 44-43 on an Eric Marshall layup with 11:22 left, and they took a 49-48 lead on a Greg Taylor layup with 7:29 left. Elon clinched the game at the free-throw line, going 19-of-23 compared to just 8-of-14 for the Terriers.
