The Monarchs improved to 26-5, setting a school record for wins.
The Tribe, which has not won two postseason games since the 1975 Southern Conference Tournament, finishes 8-21.
After the teams were tied at 10 with 12:59 remaining in the first half, the Monarchs gradually built a 37-20 lead at the break. The Monarchs could only stretch the lead to 21 in the second half while the Tribe could get no closer than the final 13-point margin.
Alex Loughton added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Old Dominion. Drew Williamson added 11 points.
Corey Cofield and Nathan Mann led the Tribe with nine points apiece.
