VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -Samuel Haanpaa scored 32 points, including 10 3-pointers, and the Crusaders beat Chicago State 90-61 Saturday night.
Haanpaa was 10-of-12 from beyond the arc and 11-of-13 from the field.
Urule Igbavboa and Shawn Huff added 11 each for Valparaiso (10-1), which shot 50 percent (30-of-60) from the field.
David Holston had 15 and Mike Wilson 10 for Chicago State (4-9).
Wilson hit a free throw to tie the game at 2 less than a minute in, but Haanpaa answered with a 3-pointer to give Valpo a lead it would never relinquish. The Crusaders led 55-33 at the break and by as many as 29 late in the second half.
The Crusaders sealed the win with a 13-1 run.
