CONWAY, Ark. (AP) -Marcus Pillow and Nate Bowie shared scoring honors Saturday night for Central Arkansas with 18 points apiece in a 73-65 come-from-behind win over Central Methodist.
CMU (5-8) led 34-30 at the half after making 59 percent of its shots from the field before the break, and led by as much as 9 points early in the second half.
But UCA (9-2) fought back to get a tie at 44, and Durrell Nevels gave the Bears a 50-49 lead with a jumper at the 8:57 mark. After a CMU free throw tied the game again, Nevels scored on a fast break for a lead that UCA never gave up.
Nevels and York Sims both finished with 12 points.
Matt Sherman led the scoring with 20 points, largely on the strength of 6-for-13 shooting from beyond the arc. Anthony Love added 13 points and Jeff Blauvelt scored 11.
