EDINBURG, Texas (AP) -Emmanuel Jones scored 27 points to lead Texas-Pan American to an 84-59 win over Sul Ross State on Saturday in the season opener for both teams.
Jones was 13 of 20 from the field. Nathan Hawkins added 17 points, and Nick Weiermiller scored 11 for the Broncs.
Ely Abraham scored 10 points on 3-of-12 shooting to lead Sul Ross State. Jeremy Hammond and Author Govan had eight points apiece.
Pan American shot 61 percent from the field to Sul Ross' 39 percent. The Broncs outrebounded the Lobos 40-26.
The Broncs opened up a 47-25 lead by halftime.
