CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) -Adam Koch scored 17 points and added 11 rebounds to lead Northern Iowa to an 81-70 win over Chicago State on Tuesday night.
Johnny Moran scored 15 points and Travis Brown added 14 points for Northern Iowa (3-1), which went ahead 15-13 with about 11 minutes left in the first half and never trailed for the rest of the game. The Panthers led 43-31 at halftime.
David Holston's 3-pointer pulled Chicago State (2-2) to 53-48 with 12:21 left in the second half, but the Cougars never got closer.
Northern Iowa outrebounded Chicago State 47-24. The Panthers also got 37 points off the bench, compared to eight for the Cougars.
Holston had 25 points, including four 3-pointers, for Chicago State. John Cantrell added 14 points and Carl Montgomery chipped in 10 points for the Cougars.
