ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -Trey Thompkins came off the bench to score 23 points in leading Georgia to a 98-57 win against Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday night.
Drazen Zlovaric added 16 points for the Bulldogs (5-1).
Shannon Behling led outmanned Mississippi Valley State (0-7) with 13 points. Eric Petty and Dwayne Harmason scored 12 and 11, respectively.
Zac Swansey scored all 10 of his points by halftime when Georgia led 46-26 in the NIT Season Tipoff Tuesday.
Mississippi Valley State kept things respectable for the first 10 minutes, trailing 21-16 after a baseline drive by Shannon Behling. But the Delta Devils managed just one field goal throughout the last eight minutes of the half.
The Bulldogs closed the half with a flurry of 3-pointers in the last 78 seconds, two by Swansey and one by Thompkins.
