FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Ben Woodside scored 29 points and Brett Winkelman added 17 points in North Dakota State's 89-82 win over Northern Arizona on Tuesday.
Woodside scored six of his points in a decisive 10-2 run in the final 3:57 of the first half which helped the Bison (2-1) take a 48-31 lead into halftime.
Michael Tveidt scored 14 points for North Dakota State, while Mike Nelson had 11 and Lucas Moormann finished with a game-high eight rebounds.
Cameron Jones and Matt Johnson each had 13 points for the Lumberjacks.
Zarko Comagic and Josh Lepley scored 12 points apiece in the loss. Northern Arizona (1-4) trailed by as many 25 points in the second half, but cut the lead to 88-80 with 9.4 seconds left in the game on a Johnson 3-pointer from the right wing, but couldn't complete the comeback.
