ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Brandon Long scored 19 points to lead five players in double figures as Texas-Arlington defeated Texas-Tyler 99-67 on Tuesday night.
Twelve of Long's points came on 3-pointers. Marquez Haynes added 17 points and Anthony Vereen and Roge'r Guignard each scored 15 for the Mavericks (3-1). Tommy Moffitt scored 10.
Anthony Reese scored 19 for Texas-Tyler (0-4). Marlon Hill scored 17 and Michael Johnson had 11.
Texas-Arlington scored 29 points off Texas-Tyler turnovers.
The Mavericks led 50-35 at the half.
