LOGAN, Utah (AP) -Gary Wilkinson recorded 18 points and was one of four Aggies to score in double figures as Utah State ran past in-state rival Weber State 75-49 Tuesday night.
Tai Wesley tallied 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for Utah State (3-0). Teammate Jaxson Myaer added 13 points, while Tyler Newbold had 12.
Steve Panos led Weber State (1-3) with 17 points. He was followed by Kellen McCoy with 16 and Nick Hansen with 10.
Utah State trailed 35-28 at halftime but started the second half with a 12-5 run, tying the Wildcats at 40 with 16:40 to play. The run extended to 22-7, as the Aggies shot 5-of-7 from 3-point range in the second half.
Utah State had only two turnovers in the second half while gaining six steals.
In the first half, the teams exchanged leads until Weber State went on an 11-3 run, keyed by five straight points and a steal by Hansen. The Wildcats then led 13-24 with 7:22 to play.
