CHICAGO (AP) -Josh Mayo had 20 points, including five 3-pointers, and eight rebounds to lead Illinois-Chicago to a 77-67 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday.
Illinois-Chicago (3-2) led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter in a game that flip-flopped eight times. Scott Vandermeer had 17 points and nine rebounds while Tori Boyd came off the bench to add 17 points for the Flames.
Robbie Harman had 17 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Central Michigan (2-3), which shot 51.1 percent overall. Chris Kellerman had 13 points and Jeremy Allen and Adrian Hunter each added 12 points for Central Michigan.
Illinois-Chicago shot 39 percent for the game. Central Michigan led 35-33 at halftime, but Illinois-Chicago came back with a 44-point second half. Central Michigan had 32 points after the break.
