INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Shelvin Mack scored 18 points, and Butler defeated Evansville 75-59 on Saturday afternoon.
Mack made 8 of 11 shots, including both of his 3-point tries, as the Bulldogs (5-0) won the matchup between unbeaten teams.
Gordon Hayward and Zach Hahn scored 12 points and Matt Howard had 11 points and four blocks for the Bulldogs.
Shy Ely led Evansville (3-1) with 12 points. Evansville's only lead was 11-10 with 14:30 left in the first half.
Butler made 9 of 19 3-pointers and shot 52 percent overall. Evansville shot just 40 percent from the field.
Butler led 35-30 at halftime. The Bulldogs led 59-49 in the second half before going on a 13-0 run to make it 72-49 with just under three minutes to go.
