GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -Point guard Rahmon Fletcher sparked an 8-0 run to start the second half as the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay beat Massachusetts 84-67 in a nonconference men?s basketball game on Saturday night.
Troy Cotton led the Phoenix (3-2) with 21 points, one of five players in double figures, and Wisconsin-Green Bay forced the sloppy Minutemen into 29 turnovers.
UMass (1-4) led 33-23 before losing its 3-point shooting touch.
The Phoenix trailed just 39-37 at halftime before Fletcher led a game-turning charge in the first 63 seconds of the second half.
He drove to set up a 3-pointer by Chop Tang, stole the ball and kicked it to Cotton for a fast-break 3-pointer, then had a steal and coast-to-coast layup to give Green Bay a 45-39 lead.
Fletcher later broke the Minutemen?s press for a layup to give the Phoenix a 51-42 lead.
Ricky Harris led UMass with 27 points.
