CANCUN, Mexico (AP) -Eric Maynor scored 18 points to lead Virginia Commonwealth to a 67-55 victory over New Mexico Saturday night.
The Rams (3-2) also received 12 points from Joey Rodriguez, who shot 4 of 5 from 3-point range.
Phillip McDonald scored 14 points for the Lobos, while Nate Garth added 12 points.
Virginia Commonwealth shot 43.8 percent from the field (21 for 48) and connected on 52.6 percent of its shots from 3-point range (10 for 19).
New Mexico shot 39.6 percent from the field (21 for 53) and shot 58.3 percent from the free-throw line (7 for 12).
