KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) -Kelvin McConnell scored 19 points to lead Kennesaw State to a 64-49 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday night.
Jon-Michael Nickerson added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Owls (4-2).
Tyler Hines scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Hawks (0-4). Neal Pitt had 15 points and six rebounds.
Kennesaw State held a 46-42 lead with 7:49 remaining in the second half. The Owls then went on an 18-8 run to end the game.
Kennesaw State recorded 11 steals in the contest. Maryland-Eastern Shore committed 19 turnovers.
