BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) -D.J Rivera scored 20 points, and Malik Alvin added 14 points to lead the Binghamton to a 73-66 win over Utah Valley on Saturday.
Malik Alvin scored 14 points for the Bearcats (2-2), Dwayne Jackson added 12, Emanual Mayben had 11, and Reggie Fuller chipped in 10.
Ryan Toolson led the Wolverines (5-0) with a game-high 21 points, while Josh Olsen added 13, and Jordan Swabrick scored 10.
The teams traded the lead early in the first period, the Binghamton went on an 18-6 run started by a Jackson 3-pointer and capped by a pair of free throws by Rivera that gave the Bearcats a 30-19 halftime lead.
Utah Valley got to within one point when a 3-pointer from Taylor Brown at 2:43 in the second, making it 62-61. Then Binghamton went on an 11-4 run - including four points from the foul line - sealing the win.
