BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) -Nate Blank scored 20 points and had seven assists to lead Gardner-Webb to a 74-47 win over Virginia-Wise 74-47 on Saturday night.
Joshua Henley grabbed 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs (1-4), who outrebounded the Highland Cavaliers 40-20. Jonathan Moore scored 13 points and Aaron Linn added 10 points along with five steals.
Pance Kecev scored 18 points for Virginia-Wise (0-7), while Adam had 11.
Gardner-Webb shot 46.9 percent from the field (30 of 64) compared to the Higland Cavaliers, who made 36.4 percent of their shots (16 of 44).
Gardner Webb, which finished with 16 steals, forced 27 turnovers.
