CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) -Drake Reed scored 37 points and posted a game-high eight rebounds and five assists to lead Austin Peay to an 81-73 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday.
Austin Peay (5-2, 2-0 Ohio Valley) earned 12 points from Anthony Campbell and 11 points, including three 3-pointers, from Wes Channels.
Austin Peay led 44-32 going into halftime, but fell off after the break. Eastern Illinois (2-5, 1-1 Ohio Valley) outscored Austin Peay 41-37 in the second period but the burst wasn't enough to secure the win for the Panthers.
T.J. Marion led Eastern Illinois with 20 points. Romain Martin had 18 points, including 4-of-7 3-pointers. Tyler Laser and Dewayne Wright Jr. each added 11 points for Eastern Illinois.
Eastern Illinois earned 14 points off Austin Peay turnovers in a game that was tied just once and had the lead change just five times.
