NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -Osiris Eldridge had 19 points and eight rebounds and Lloyd Phillips added 16 points and five assists to lead Illinois State to a 78-65 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday.
Illinois State (8-0) remains undefeated with eight straight wins, but the Redbirds did allow 14 turnovers in the win. Bowling Green (3-4) capitalized on those mistakes, scoring 12 points off the turnovers and smacking 11 blocks.
Emmanuel Holloway had 12 points for Illinois State, which shot 46.3 percent from the field for the game.
Nate Miller came off the bench to lead Bowling Green with 15 points and Joe Jakubowski had 14 points. Bowling Green shot 34.7 percent from the field in a game that was tied three times and saw the lead change three times.
Illinois State led 30-22 going into halftime and the Redbirds came back from the break to outscore Bowling Green 48-43 in the second period.
