GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -Antwaine Wiggins and Jermaine Johnson each scored 12 points to lead the College of Charleston to a 77-62 win over UNC-Greensboro on Saturday.
Charleston (7-1, 2-0 Southern Conference), which trailed by as many as six points, tied the score at 45-45 on a Dustin Scott layup with 16:35 left in the game.
After a timeout following Scott's basket, the Cougars scored six unanswered points, including consecutive baskets by Wiggins. Jeremy Simmons made the score 51-45 on a layup, causing UNC-Greensboro to call a timeout with 13:00 to play.
The Spartans (1-5, 0-2) led 40-36 at half time, but Tony White Jr. pulled the Cougars within one on a 3-pointer less than a minute into the second half.
Andrew Goudelock added 11 points and Simmons had 10 for the Cougars.
Mikko Koivisto led UNC-Greensboro with 17 points, including five 3-pointers.
