RUSTON, La. (AP) -Kenneth Cooper scored 14 points to lead Louisiana Tech to a 77-47 win over Grambling State on Saturday night.
Olu Ashaolu scored 13 points for the Bulldogs (3-4), and Magnum Rolle chipped in with 12.
The Tigers (2-5) were led in scoring by Ariece Perkins, who finished 16 points on 6 of 10 shooting. Donald Qualls added 14 points.
Louisiana Tech went on a 10-0 run in the first half to claim a 21-9 lead with 9:14 remaining. The Bulldogs continued to extend the margin, pushing their to lead to 42-19 by halftime.
Louisiana Tech scored 40 points in the paint, while the Tigers managed only 18. The Bulldogs also outrebounded Grambling State 47-29.
Louisiana Tech shot 49.2 percent from the field (29-for-59), while Grambling State shot 34 percent (18-for-53).
