DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -Jonathan Cox scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help carry Drake to an 89-46 men's basketball win over winless North Carolina Central on Saturday.
Cox was 8-for-12 from the field and made five of Drake's 15 3-pointers. The Bulldogs (8-2) shot 54 percent overall and 50 percent on 3-pointers.
Josh Young added 15 points and Josh Parker 12 for the Bulldogs, who outrebounded the Eagles (0-8) 44-26. Drake's bench outscored N.C. Central's reserves 36-4.
The Eagles were led by Vincent Davis' 24 points. He was the only N.C. Central player in double figures.
The Eagles led 14-13 after Davis' 3-pointer with 11:00 to play in the first half. But Drake 34-11 run to take a 47-25 halftime lead.
