RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -Mike Rose made three of four free-throws in the last 20 seconds and Eastern Kentucky secured a 78-75 win over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday night.
Rose led the Colonels (5-3, 1-1 Ohio Valley Conference) with 24 points and 11 rebounds.
The Skyhawks (2-5, 0-2) trailed 52-41 with 15:32 remaining but pulled within three points with 2.3 seconds left in the game. Lester Hudson could have tied the game on his attempted 3-pointer, but he missed as time expired.
Hudson led Tennessee-Martin with 22 points and Marquis Weddle added 16 points.
Sophomore guard Justin Stommes tied his season-high with 17 points for the Colonels, while junior forward Papa Oppong added 11 points and reserve Josh Taylor scored 10 points.
