WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -Colin Cunningham scored 12 and sparked a decisive scoring run in the second half to lead Holy Cross over Western Michigan on Saturday, 69-63.
W. Michigan led 49-48 with 8:40 remaining when Cunningham hit a 3-pointer to give Holy Cross the lead. He later added three free throws on the 11-3 run, which gave Holy Cross a 59-52 lead with just over five minutes remaining.
The victory snapped a six game losing streak for Holy Cross (3-6). R.J. Evans added 17 points for Holy Cross.
David Kool scored 18 points to lead Western Michigan (2-7).
Western Michigan led 30-24 late in the first half after converting 8-of-12 from beyond the 3-point line. But Holy Cross went on an 18-6 run and led 42-36 with 13:44 remaining. The teams changed leads four times before Cunningham's 3-pointer started the decisive scoring run.
