ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -Diontae Gibson made a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left and Winston-Salem beat South Carolina State 68-65 on Saturday.
Gibson, who finished with 13 points, gave the Rams (1-6) their first lead of the on his shot.
Brian Fisher led all scorers with 22 for Winston-Salem (1-6), which shot 47.5 percent from the field (28 of 59) in the victory. Gibson shot 2 of 2 from beyond the arc in the game.
Jason Johnson led the Bulldogs (4-3) with 16 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and two blocks. Brandon Smalls scored 15 points and Jason Flagler added 10.
South Carolina State shot 40.4 percent (23 of 57) from the field.
