LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -Matt Mouzy scored 12 points to lead Arkansas-Little Rock to a 65-59 win over Arkansas State in Sun Belt Conference play Saturday.
Mike Smith and Shane Edwards each added 10 for UALR (8-3, 1-0), in the Trojans' second straight over its upstate rival.
The Red Wolves (8-3, 1-1) were behind a point, 21-20, at the end of the first half.
With 17:28 left in the second half, Donald Boone's 3-pointer cut the UALR lead to 27-25, but the Trojans gradually increased the margin to its largest lead at 57-42 with 4:20 remaining.
Boone scored 16 points.
ASU shot 27 percent and the Trojans 31 percent from the field in the first half. UALR hit 55 percent in the second period while ASU was at 40 percent. UALR out-rebounded ASU 44-34.
