BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) -Kenny Dawkins scored 23 points and had 10 assists to lead Lamar to a 106-65 victory over Huston-Tillotson on Saturday night.
Lamar (8-3) had four other players in double digits - Brandon McThay (18), Ashton Hall (17), Jay Brown (15) and Anthony Miles (12). Brown also had 13 rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
Lamar shot 58 percent while building a 56-29 halftime lead and ended up at 56 percent shooting for the game. But the Cardinals struggled from the 3-point line, going 8-of-28 (29 percent).
D'mond Grismore scored 17 for Huston-Tillotson, and Rex Kyles added 10.
Huston-Tillotson shot 41 percent, including 33 percent in the first half.
